Walk a few blocks in Lakeview and you’ll pass a century of Chicago architecture in one stretch — classic greystone two- and three-flats with their original limestone facades, brick courtyard buildings from the 1920s, the occasional Victorian holdout with its bay windows still intact, and newer construction filling in the gaps, especially closer to the Southport Corridor and the lakefront high-rises.
